I don't understand what advantage does this bring over a small tank or something with caterpillar if they were used in a war? Caterpillar seems to be more effective than legs, especially in dirty environments of a war. Can somebody explain that to me?


It can transverse very tight rugged terrain, like a bombed out building.


Even with treads a vehicle that size couldn't handle the terrain that thing was going over.


Also a simple mantrap would snap it's leg or at least make it impossible to walk further
