BUT. The thing I use most is my Lightscribe Pulse pen. I'm an OCD note taker (I have an entire 12x12 wall full of notebooks), and I have shitty short term memory. Being able to record audio with my notes during meetings, cab rides, etc. has saved my ass countless times. More so than any other device I currently use.

Three laptops (Mac, Ubuntu, Win) and an iPhone, but I rarely ever use it for anything other than its alarm clock.

Gave up on desktops ca. 2000.

I would love to have a smartphone which fully supported an external usb keyboard, mouse and monitor.

after my last desktop died I found my thinkpad with gentoo was enough. I also have a mini-itx for files and as a media player.

in between my smartphone and netbook, I also have an internet tablet (Nokia n800)

desktop (tends to be on 24/7) and laptop. One for music and movies one for work.
