I am both a current Tekpub, and former Pluralsight subscriber. I agree with your opinion about the quality of pluralsight. The reason I ditched my pluralsight subscription was because there is a lot of sub-par videos on there. Even though there were a lot fewer videos on tekpub, they were of so much higher quality. Unfortunately, I probably won't be reactivating my pluralsight subscription once the tekpub swap-over time runs out.

Having said that, however, congrats to Rob for taking Tekpub to the next level.
