I don’t think SUV vs car makes a meaningful difference when e.g. delivery vans and garbage trucks exist.

Right. They do it at a rate approximately proportional to the fourth power of the per-axle weight of the vehicles driving by. So really only the heaviest vehicles matter much at all.
