It feels very retro - back to the earlier days of the web circa what Craigslist still looks like. Are you doing this just for development experience / fun or to make it something bigger? I still find no-JS back-end forums such as PHPBB and similar to still be useful. People are still running vBulletin. These systems are all very robust and handle moderation and many other forum-related must haves. Are you looking to build those as well?

It definitely feels like we're going full circle with the Web and back to its earlier, decentralized, stripped-down past.
