Interesting article, but given this is an anecdotal perspective from the author I have to wonder how much confirmation bias exists in this. Worth additional exploration and possible study by an expert in the biological sciences.

Smart people can fool themselves just as much as "regular" people and when you throw in a bunch of math it seems like some mental gymnastics to allow you to fool yourself even more.
