I have a Wacom tablet and pen (Intuos 4) and it always worked perfectly on Linux.
Sice I use 2 monitors, years ago confining the pointer to one monitor was a matter of 1 command in the command-line, but since some time KDE allows me to confine the pointer in the settings GUI, so even that inconvenience went away.
