The day I almost rage-quit Amazon (index.medium.com)

None of this is describing "direct" communication styles. It's just aggression and abuse.

Being direct when you don't like someone's work is saying literally, "I don't like this". Continuing on to then say, "and you're an idiot for even trying" is not directness. It's the opposite of direct. It's going off on an unrelated tangent.

This entire article reads like a vonnegut novel. Its so close to being self aware that i cannot tell whether it actually intends to be ironic.

What I read seems entirely plausible. Even perhaps a bit underwhelming.

I’d love to hear more details behind that story.

Thanks. The original article doesn't load past the first paragraph on Firefox mobile.

This is a useful article about Amazon work culture.

And is also why I will never work there, and why they’re going to have ongoing diversity-of-thought issues, as that’s not a culture a lot of people can thrive in.

There’s a reason why “Think Big” is one of the core principles.

Wanna work on fixing a problem that is bedeviling the entire world and affects virtually every single person on the planet?

This is great. Super descriptive
