It went free to play last year. This removed the cost penalty so it was flooded with cheaters.


That almost completely defeats the purpose of VAC or whatever they are calling it now. Who cares if they're banned for life when they can make an infinite number of accounts at no cost. The price of the game was what made VAC bans effective.

There's Prime Matchmaking mode, which can only be used by players who've paid $20 or played like enough to get to level 21, which takes a long time.


I was going to say, last I remember CSGO had very little cheating in it. But I haven't played in about a year...
