Maybe Bandcamp should buy them out. Seems like there's a lot they could gain by having a major music platform like Soundcloud integrated into their marketplace.

Why buy a failing company when most of their userbase will organically come to you when it shuts down?

seamless acquisition, search engine rankings, targeted users... Give existing artists say 90-days post-aquisition to convert to paid accounts, etc.
There's plenty of reason... now said transition could be more costly than the buyout though.
