> Government doesn't care about me

Until they do.

Hi from Germany.

You dont even have to worry only about your own/current government. Take the Netherlands, with detailed census data (conveniently as punchcards) about their population before the German invasion. With the threat of an invasion looming some suggested to at least trike out the information about religious believes. Unfortunately this didnt happen. Amsterdam had one of the highest rates of deported Jews for a reason.

This is the timeline we live in now, this is how it's turning out, this is who we are becoming, and it makes me sick to my stomach.

>pathetic ~10 transactions per second.

It's only an artificial limit of Core fork of Bitcoin.

Increasing it to 10 000 transactions per second doesn't use more energy for mining. https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/7nn5wa/bitcoin_cash_is...

Right, so bitcoin main stands out as especially terrible, even among the ecosystem of terribly inefficient PoW cryptocurrencies.

I remember using some web accelerator 15-20 years ago. Prefetching all links on webpages. It was really helpful on modem/ISDN connection.

Standalone program on Windows XP (or maybe Windows 98?). It had it's own window where you could see which pages it was loading.

Does anyone know the name?

It's funny how much more sense this made on old-fashioned dial-up connections. Back then, as far as I remember, there was no data limit as such. The only thing that counted was connection time. Rather than sitting there reading something while generating ticks, you could better download much of the site and disconnect. An old form of rush to idle.

"Look at who you're replying to." meant "tptacek" or "tyre"? Or both - a general advice?

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro even kills Google Maps navigation after few minutes (with screen on). I have to use MAPS.ME, it doesn't kill it.

Bitcoin Core and Bitcoin SV?

Last time I tried Core fork of Bitcoin, it was useless, it had $30 transaction fees (due to artificial block size limit).

I was scammed out of my money, couldn't move it. This isn't fixed yet, fees will appear again when transaction volume increases.

Meanwhile with Bitcoin Cash I was sending $1 to Venezuelian for less than $0.01.
