> Because you people are cracking your eggs from the wrong end!

That's because both ends are wrong. Eggs should be cracked from the side.

Can't believe this still needs to be said on this forum in 2026.

Cue RMS giving the Church of Emacs skit…

"This scroll will get you nowhere."

I disagree. It has gotten me to being entertained.

Ohhhh, thank you, I'm delighted

I lack the context and knowledge to understand how this would work, but I am curious (enough to ask but not enough to google it, admittedly).

The joke being that if your net worth is negative the fine will be negative.

Man, I missed that by a mile. Thanks. :D

On the wings, obviously, for quick deployment. Maybe I mean early deployment.

Shades of: Being strapped to the sponsons of an AH-64 is one wild, but potentially life-saving ride.

Totally off-topic, but that photo is wild. How do you not go deaf riding so close to jet turbine!? Can earplugs really reduce noise that much?

The straps just need to be a little stronger!

Isn't that what's described in the article as well?

The preference can also be set by women drivers not to accept men as riders, so I don't think your example fully covers it either.

I'm French and the meaning is similar to what OP described in French "European".

You're definitely not alone and I 100% share the thought in your last sentence.

My experience with reporting stuff to mods is that people who post racist stuff do get banned but I also think there's a difference between holding opinions I consider based in racism or having racist outcomes (which I don't report), and posting actually racist stuff (which I do report).

That may actually have been me accidentally downvoting as I was scrolling through with my clumsy thumb.

Double whammy, I guess, because I also always downvote comments asking (or complaining) about a parent comment getting downvoted.
