OpenAI is inherently incentivized to sell as much LLM compute as possible, that is not neutral "AI literacy". You don't let tobacco companies make anti smoking education either.
> We do and we don't. If you would go out there and talk to a random person about elliptic curves and matrix multiplications and whether you hit a performance ceiling in a specific 2x2 multiplication thingy with Karatsuba and wnaf, they would not know half the words, but the lying and flattering machine will be able to hold the conversation.

Probably because a lot of it is built on top of decades old ruby code. I've seen Merge Requests for months in review because they need to make sure the page doesn't take a minute to load or just crash the entire thing. And its not like those MRs were ground breaking.
In my case its an issue because I have a monitor with only a single DP port and I need to switch between my tower and laptop. I have to use HDMI for the laptop to monitor connection.
I have a Samsung G95NC (DP2.1, 7680x2160, 240Hz) and you definitely notice the difference between 120Hz and 240Hz. Although personally I wouldn't pay a cent more for an even higher refresh rate since the difference is much less noticable than 60vs120Hz and I expect 240Hz vs 420 to make even less of a difference.
There are only a few adapters that support the 2.1 features (hdr+vrr+high resolution+high refresh rate, no lossy DSC). I even had to flash custom firmware for most of those features to work (vrr still doesnt)
AFAIK this is not true. The Austrian eID also works on GrapheneOS (with an initial warning). Its some national implementations (such as the German one you linked) that enforce this.
You might not be from Europe then. Russia is the primary threat. They are funding extremist political movements. They are also conducting sabotage and espionage operations inside the EU.

These are true. They also don't have much to do with what I replied to, which was about "the propaganda efforts driving a large amount of far right nationalists into violent uprising."
You're simply misinformed if you believe that Russia-originated propaganda has played a bigger role in the rise of right-wing extremism in Europe over the last 10 years than Rupert Murdoch (and yes, I'm aware News Corp's assets are all in English), the Anglo manosphere including the likes of Andrew Tate, and Meta, Google (Youtube) and X intentionally designing their algorithms for outrage/engagement at all costs.
Russia wishes it would have as much influence as the above.
