In no way am I defending Palantir, but literally any random official or intern could've created this with any random AI generation model. It's not like the government is requiring people use any kind of ACLs or officially approved software to do stuff anymore.
Palantir has an image generation model? It seems to me that Grok is the most likely as its already on the network where the image was posted and is known to be used for this sort of thing. Gemini has no problem creating the image from the source either.
So obviously he's not the bad guy here, since his hood is down. :)
Yet he's a bit urban edgy here, and the staging is like it's an impromptu social media reaction to some online slight. (though reading a script)
You don't want to go full South Park "We're sorry", but I'd feel better about a response in a business dress shirt, out of respect for wronged customers.
With a bit more humbled posture.
IMHO, you're answering to customers you've wronged, and you don't wear a hoodie to church nor court (nor do you play video games during a live TV interview), nor do you assert superiority over the people you let down.
You can convey respect and humility, while also conveying being capable of responsibly resolving the problem.
(Just one person's reaction. I see some things the video did right, IMHO, but some other things jump out as wondering why they did that.)
Can recommend. I followed Josh Doody's advice last time I switched jobs and I did really well in negotiations. Even though in the beginning of my job search I had given a recruiter my preferred salary range (my mistake) and of course the company's offer was at the bottom of that range, I was still able to negotiate and recover quite nicely in the end. Though, having multiple offers on hand helped a lot.
Not sure why Viber is on your list of fallen messaging apps. In the past few years I've seen more and more "X has joined Viber. Say hi!" notifications about my contacts (based in the US, which if anything makes me think it's growing).
As a kid (~10-11yo) growing up in Eastern Europe my friends and I would look for old car batteries left by dumpsters. We'd break them, take the lead grids out and clean them up, build a small fire, melt the lead, and then pour it into molds we'd make of wood, usually in the shape of ninja stars to play with. Fun times!
Not surprising. Anecdotal, but I was once hit by a cab while crossing the street. They were making a left turn. Yes, it was 2AM and I was wearing dark clothes but still, there was plenty of light at that intersection and it's not like I jumped out of nowhere (I had already walked more than halfway across the street before I was suddenly on the car's hood and then of course on the asphalt). Luckily for me I didn't suffer any injuries (that I know of).
