How many of these inexperienced linux users are running Arch linux?

It is an _example_.

OTOH do not forget that Arch is a family of distros now, not a single distro, just as Debian is.

In fact I suspect that it is the 2nd biggest family of distros, after Debian.

Debian encompasses many dozens: Ubuntu, plus dozens of Ubuntu derivatives including Mint, Elementary, PopOS, ZorinOS, Linux Lite etc.; LMDE; Devuan; MX Linux; SpiralLinux; etc. etc.

Arch now encompasses at least Manjaro, EndeavourOS, Garuda and more. https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Arch-based_distributions

But that is not the point.

The point is that _tens of millions_ are running non-Debian-derived distros, mostly ChromeOS and CloudReady/ChromeOS Flex.

Offering a .deb package is _not_ a useful approach to offering a generic Linux package, no.

The RHEL and SuSE family is definitely bigger than arch and arch adjacent distros but I agree with your point

Yes, that's true.

FWIW, I have tried both the Snap and AppImage versions of TB 102.

Both were very easy to install. The problem is that Snap confinement meant that TB could not see my existing profile. I just got the first-run wizard.

This did not affect the AppImage, which is working well.

Using cars of any form instead of the tube in London is a really bad way to get around it, FYI.

It varies a bit depending upon where you're going and when but I agree in general. Pre-pandemic, I visited London a lot and rarely took a cab/Uber. To be honest, that's true of most cities I traveled to if there was a decent transit system. Probably mostly to and from airports but, even in that case, there's often a good transit option and I usually travel light.

As someone in the industry, this is absolute rubbish and misinformation.

This is a little tangential, but does anyone have a strong recommendation for a good ios osm based app? Strong cycling capabilities are extra appreciated.

Firefox does this too FYI

I like Firefox but I don't use it on my iPhone. I use the Apple pw manager to log into websites on both phone/laptop a lot. The syncing to my iPhone is great.

As does chrome and edge.

...while trying to peddle absolute economic lies, which were called out by the independent UK statistical authority as misleading. In the same breath also lying about him not running a candidacy to be PM, declining to name any figures backing his assertions.

What are you trying to say?

That the quote is taken out of context, I guess. Other factors that you've mentioned don't change the fact.

HMG is also an acronym!

Hyperbole much? If they weren't remotely substitutable then why do coffee shops freely offer them as a... substitute. And interchangeably between different plant-based ones at that.

They probably don't work interchangeably in scenarios where the physical characteristics of the milk is a linchpin of the recipe. Baking in general requires precise temperature control and ingredient control (eg. cake, pastry, and bread flour types), whereas adding milk is more of a flavoring that doesn't impact the resulting drink at much (your coffee won't be a chewy inedible mess if you put a different kind of milk).
