I don't understand why there aren't more stories about this-- it is beyond rampant, I'd call it business as usual for most popular apps since the Apps platform launched. I'd like to see an article about creative uses for all that data.

Why isn't this person just a consultant?

There is nothing wrong with just being a sprinter, but isn't there something to be said for being able to run the marathon?

If the spark is gone after only a few months at a company, seemingly no matter what the company, maybe the problem is within and not with the companies that you're working with?

Or maybe there is no 'problem' at all. Different people work in different ways.

On that note, offices that have the air conditioning turned down to extremely low temperatures. Even in the summer, when the cooling bills must be horrendous.

I suspect that the thermostats in many places are controlled by fat men in heavy suits.

One of the best investments we've made has been in allocating time for family.

An example is finding a night nurse after we had our first child. It allowed my wife to recover from a tough birth, both of us to have some quiet together time, and it allowed me to get the rest I needed in order to keep working. The nurse would show up around 9-10pm each night and took off at 6am, and would wake my wife for the late night feedings as necessary.

It was pure gold and those 4 weeks allowed us to recover and adapt to the strange new world of parenting (and it also gave us a bit more confidence to handle novel situations as they arose).

Put half with Goldman Sachs and half with Smith Barney. Tell them both what you are doing. Make it a competition. Tell them that within 5 years you will choose a winner based on returns. You will soon be making over $400,000 a year in income, if not closer to $750,000 if you go aggressive.

At this rate you can fund a startup every 6 months as an angel. Chris
