Countries trying to become uncorrupt generally go way down because they can start reporting on found corruption. This means people care and so it is worth reporting.
My dad worked at a company that had their own travel agency (early 90s when you needed a travel agent for reasons that no longer apply), and he was often booked on the more expensive flight because the travel agency made more money. More than once he could have got first class for less on a different flight but company policy didn't allow him to fly first class.
Most big companies still have travel agencies/companies manage their corporate travel. I can’t remember who we used when I was at Amazon, but I made a similar complaint to my manager once given I could fly cheaper in a higher class on a different airline (also one I had heaps of points with so I would have preferred it because I’d be able to upgrade further and/or use the lounge).
Turns out the price I saw in the booking portal isn’t actually what Amazon paid. It’s kinda more like a rack rate listing. But then there’s all kinds of discounting/cash back that happens on the backend based on the amount of travel booked each month.
I used to know someone whose parent worked at travel agency (also 90s) and their whole immediate family could book trips wherever, but only economy class.
CURL has been scanned with multiple LLMs. Mythos was last and as a result found only 1 issue. If Myhos was really much better I'd expect it to find a lot more issues despite the others already there.
Also, the competing models are getting better. Opus 4.5 was better than everyone else when it was new, but only a few months later and there are a lot of models that are better (not just the newer Opus models)
Curl had a prominent bug bounty programme, has 180k lines of prod code, and is mainly a client app/lib. I would look at other projects before making judgements about mythos on this one.
Don't you want to test mythos against state of the art projects? They are the best chance of making visible what mythos uniquely brings to the table.
We already know that mythos will be branded catnip for sub-SOTA projects. They could have build SOTA secure software development practices last week, last month or last year. But didn't care. What will their experience with mythos tell us other than AI hype can create corporate will to take security seriously?
All too often I've seen amateurs do this and thing think "don't blame the tool, I must be bad", when it really is the tool! A good craftsman never blames his tools is a reflection on the types of tool a craftsman has, not just the skill they have.
The larger factor here is batteries are expensive enough that you don't want to mix and match. There is no reason your corded drill and saw need to be the same brand so you can choose whatever. However if your cordless drill and saw take the battery that means you don't have to buy as many batteries (or alternatively when your drill battery goes to the charger you take the saw battery instead of being unable to drill any holes).
Though people are starting to figure out that there are only a couple different batteries and so a cheap adapter means you don't need to buy all the same anymore.
There has generally been a grade below Ryobi that is junk. Been that way for decades before Ryobi even existed. Ryobi isn't the best quality, but it is generally good enough and cheaper.
J1772 is 120V or 208-240V. Those are by far the most common voltages in the US. (208 is what you get when you take a US 3 phase system and connect to two phases - this is somewhat common and most people don't know or care that their apartment is wired like that). I have seen other voltages at industrial sites, but I wouldn't expect that in a lamppost.
There are a lot of different mobile chargers, if you don't like the specs on the Tesla charger buy a different one. Though do beware that cheap 50A receptacles cannot handle 50 amps continuous. They are for stoves (max 40A), or welders (low duty cycle since you spend more time in setup then welding - assembly lines use better receptacles)
